Wanna play a game?

I am attracted to games...they are BRIGHT and cheerful and bring people together to laugh and yell, compete and even get a bit mad sometimes. These are the things that I love about games....so as a person proclaiming that I am ATTRACTED to games I NOW...must admit something...a complete confession...
I really HATE them.
I buy them for my kids, to help them learn and create and play as a team...I play games WITH them ...

And so...with the GREAT CLEAN OUT and ORGANIZATIONAL FRENZY that comes each January at The Glen...some of them....

Messes! Piles! Lists! ATTACK!

The kiddos have been on extended Holiday Break as they will be entering in to their brand new school tomorrow! It is an exciting transition and the technology and space in their new building are truly amazing. My older kids are excited about bigger lockers and SPACE in the hallways to negotiate their way to their next class.

New hoops and play equipment are VERY welcome too!

With the kids returning to school that means that Jill must get back to work too!!!! I have many goals for January!!!! The lists are MANY!!!!  A major "at home" project is to revamp our chaotic basement for better use in the areas of storage AND EXERCISE. I love an organizational project but this one is a bit OMINOUS! Do you enjoy the NEW YEAR need to tidy up or clean OUT?

Happy New Year

We are blanketed with snow and it is welcome. We did not have ANY snow to speak of last winter so the beauty of the whiteness is welcome. Being on Christmas vacation is nice too as we are relaxing and enjoying it more.


Sam is SO HAPPY to have a long break from school...I asked him if he was ready to go back to classes and he said, NO WAY! He stays SO busy with his toys and building projects. There is a great army of Super Heroes and Army guys forming  in the upper hallway.

We have been EATING our way through the holidays....we will have to start PAYING for this very soon. The fruit looks healthy and delicious doesn't it? The yummy dishes along WITH this fruit will be sure to add to our post holiday slim down!

It is VERY cold out but Bud is a SUN WORSHIPPER in the biggest sense...he always finds a slice of sunshine to warm his OLD bones in...I asked him if he wanted to come in and he very clearly said NO.

The infamous Killeny Glen snowball is BACK in my freezer. The girls think it is awesome to store a good snowball in the kitchen freezer....WHY? Ummmm, cause they can.

We are on vacation until January 9th. We are going to play for a few more days and then enter BACK into reality again. Hope your New Year has started out WELL.
