Creativity fuels the spirit...

I do not consider myself creative.
Yet, I NEED to be creative to be productive.

I am not a writer, photographer, cook, painter or genius of home decor or art.
Yet, I NEED to DO some of these things, I LOVE to do some of these things to be productive.

My VERY practical, list making mind tells me that I must FOCUS on the tasks that MUST be done in order for our lives to run smoothly. Yet, when I exclusively work toward THAT end and tick off the lists WITHOUT my dose of CREATIVITY I find my productivity plummets as does my spirit of motivation and sense of contentment.

I am in awe of the creativity of others...Bob and I were taking a walk and saw this pile of paint cans, etc...and THEN we saw the ART that the paint and a few creative souls had created....

Awesome huh??

So, with that...I am plunging into ALLOWING myself the time to CREATE. It is a necessary part of my life.

Summer color

We are having rain...LOTS of rain...the flowers and gardens are LOVING all the rain and we are happy to see LOTS of summer color here at Killeny Glen.

Gizzie LOVES to have her photo taken...

With ALL the rain the creek is running fast and COLD...feels SO refreshing to wade our way down the creek bed on a HUMID day.

Oh! GUESS WHAT?
I hear MORE thunder...maybe we can swim and bask in the sun NEXT week!

Various and Sundry at The Glen

My lavender is in bloom...need I say more?

Nate has a new companion/therapy dog through his work...I am NOT a little dog person but have fallen in love with this little Papillon. Did you know they use Papillons for hearing impaired and seizure service dogs?

Organizing old photos and came across this snapshot of my crazy five...it is a favorite of mine.We love having big kids these days but oh they were sooooooo cute at these ages...sigh.

Nana Boo's piano still plays beautifully. Something about playing in HER music room is magical...although even with as frail as she is she is quick to say her piano needs tuning.
(Look at the wallpaper...oh how I LOVE that wall paper.)

Bob, Madeleine and I ran a 5K to benefit  4 Paws For Ability a service organization providing service dogs. We had such fun and it was a BEAUTIFUL day!

The world is a little less bright without sweet Teresa in it today...she fought hard and long but her heart could not do its work anymore...she entered heaven yesterday...my heart is heavy thinking about HOW her parents and her siblings will learn to live with out her. She truly was a blessing to all that were privileged to know her.

I trust you all are well.
